Sauna Instructions
1. Turning the Heater On:
Turn the timer knob clockwise to the “on” section (0-1 hours). The heater will start heating immediately. Allow about 30 minutes for the sauna to reach the desired temperature.
2. Pre-setting the Heating Time:
To schedule the sauna to start heating later, turn the timer knob to the pre-setting section (0-8 hours). The heater will automatically turn on after the selected time has passed and will run for approximately 1 hour. For example, if you plan to return in two and a half hours, set the timer to “2.” The sauna will be ready by the time you return.
3. Adjusting the Temperature:
The thermostat knob can be used to set the desired temperature. Begin by setting it to the maximum and adjust as necessary by turning the knob counterclockwise. Small adjustments in the maximum section can result in significant temperature changes.
4. Turning the Heater Off:
The heater will automatically turn off when the timer reaches zero. You can also manually turn off the heater by setting the timer knob to zero. After using the sauna, it’s recommended to let the heater run for a short while to dry the wooden parts of the sauna.
5. Throwing Water on the Heated Stones:
To create steam and increase humidity, pour clean water (up to 0.05 gallons) on the sauna stones. Use tap water only—pool or spa water is prohibited due to the risk of chlorine gas formation. Special sauna-approved aromas may also be used with the water.
For a gentler heat, pour water toward the front of the heater; for a sharper, more intense heat, pour water directly on top of the stones
