Amenities

Kitchen: Fully equipped with modern appliances, utensils, and dishes.

Children: Dinnerware for children can be found in the bottom drawer of the kitchen island, there is a high chair in the kitchen cabinet.

Fireplace: Our fireplace can be tricky to get started but once it’s going, it’ll roar and keep the whole room warm. It’s important to start with small logs, there is a log splitter next to the wood supply on the driveway, split a handful of logs into 3-4 pieces. Put 2-3 of those split pieces into the stove with the door open and the flue (on the bottom right) pulled out the entire way, this will increase the airflow. Add some of the fatwood and fire-starters from the kitchen cupboard under the wood and light. Leave the door of the fireplace open to help with the airflow up the chimney. If smoke is coming out, you're trying to use too much or too big of a piece of wood which is harder to ignite. As it ignites the kindling, you can close the door. Add more wood until it continues to burn down to embers, then you'll be able to easily burn through a regular sized log and can push the flue in to reduce airflow and create a long, hot burn.

Wellness and Relaxation

Sauna: The left dial controls the heat, leave this at the max/hot. The right dial controls the time. To turn on, make sure the right dial is set at 0 then turn it to the first “1”, you’ll hear a clunk indicating it’s on. Don’t turn too far as you’ll go into delayed-start mode meaning it will turn on after 1, 2, 3, etc hours. You’ll be able to feel the hear above the stones within a few minutes and after ~ 30 mins it will be ready to use. The sauna automatically turns off after 1 hour so if you want to keep going, repeat the process of resetting it to “0” then turning it to the first “1”.
